All employees including sub-contractors to be observed the highest standards at the workplace while protecting the interest of all relevant parties. The policies are developed in line with the scope of marine consultancy and communicated and/or implemented for an individual to understand their obligations.

Business Policy

We are committed to the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and transparency in every respect while dealing with patrons, the industry and government officials. The employee shall track the client’s objectives systematically and honestly. The employee shall not impose their personal needs and desires above the client while performing their duties. We urge our employees to immediately report about bribery or unacceptable levels of confrontation from facility staff. All the employees would be treated with dignity and respect.

HSE Policy

We believe that a safe and healthy environment in the workplace is utmost essential to carry out the work safely. As an open-door policy, the company management motivates the employees and subcontractors to report accidents, incidents and near misses to the management without disinclination. he relevant reporting usually assesses unbiased and the lessons learnt to be shared for continuous improvement while giving full respect to all our employees and contractors. The above process helps to achieve No accidents/incidents, and No negative feedback. The day to day internal interactions including industrial updates and training educates to improve. The management takes steps against the environmental impact and energy efficiency measures by all available means and/or wherever it is possible.

Drug & Alcohol

The possession/consumption of drug and alcohol by company employees and subcontractors are strictly prohibited at any times whilst on assignments on behalf of the SKIB MARINE SURVEYS FZE. The objective of this policy is to prompt a safe environment at the workplace on board ships, in office premises and marine facilities. All individuals must carry out their duties without the influence of drugs and/or alcohol that would impair their abilities to work safely. Additionally, all the employees and subcontractors shall comply with rules and regulations regarding the use of Drugs and Alcohol that may be specific to individual facilities.

Work & Rest

We believe that the inspector should conduct a survey and/or inspections in compliance with work and rest hours of the vessel staff. The inspection schedule to be kept flexible considering ongoing routine and cargo operations at the time of attendance and the schedule would be amended as necessary if required. The multiple inspections on the same day to be avoided as far as possible. However, if it is unavoidable then the permission to be obtained and/or concern to be notified by available means. The reference should be made to client specific guidance where necessary.

Road Driving 

The road journeys should only be undertaken where deemed necessary to achieve business objectives at calculated risk. Night driving to be undertaken if it is absolutely necessary. Sufficient amount of rest before the commencement of journey is a must. Various factors to be considered while planning the road travel including emergency support facilities in place. The vehicle must be maintained as per the manufacturer’s requirements and to be driven in compliance with general rules and regulations in account of safe driving (eg. In possession of driving license, speed limit to be maintained, seat belts to be used, use of mobile to be avoided while driving and no unauthorized passengers etc).
